Knox Technology Inc. is looking for a full time CF developer in Austin who can immediately begin contributing to our business. We are a small software shop that specializes in talent management systems within the restaurant industry. We have a 12 year history in this industry and plan to continue extending that.

Some of the high-level expectations for a developer on our team are as follows:
1. Manage your time effectively so as to meet release schedules and client driven deadlines. Use tools such as Assembla, Firebug, Xmarks, LastPass, Mylyn, etc. to create efficiency within your workflow.
2. Work as efficiently and quickly as possible while maintaining a high level of quality.
3. Write clear, clean, and concise code based on our standard coding principles.
4. Contribute to the maintenance of Wiki/Code documentation to help developers understand the system and its processes more thoroughly.

Here are the more detailed technical requirements:
1. Advanced CFML knowledge (up to version 9)
2. Experience with CF 9 Enterprise and clustering
3. Advanced T-SQL knowlege
4. Basic knowledge of Fusebox 5
5. Basic knowledge of MVC architecture
6. Ability to translate business objectives into technical requirements
7. Basic Ant script knowledge
8. Basic Selenium + CFSelenium knowledge
9. Intermediate ExtJS + javascript knowledge (up to version 4)
10. Intermediate HTML + CSS knowledge (up to HTML 5.0 and CSS 3.0)

Here are the “bonus” technical skills that would be beneficial:
1. Advanced Eclipse + CFEclipse + Subversive + Mylyn experience
2. Management of SQL Analysis services
3. Advanced knowledge of Hudson CI
4. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of VMWare
5. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Flex 4

Corey Butler will be covering recent work on the CFAmazon project. CFAmazon is an open source ColdFusion library designed to help integrate Amazon payment services into CF-based systems. The project supports Checkout By Amazon and the more recent addtion of Marketplace Web Services. The presentation will cover the basics of getting Amazon payments working with your site as well as how to quickly overcome some of the hurdles that have faced CF developers using Amazon services.

CFAmazon: MWS Support

An update to CFAmazon was just released on RIAForge and GitHub. The open source library was originally designed to help CF developers integrate Checkout By Amazon into their websites. The most recent update supports Marketplace Web Services (aka MWS), focusing on feed submission, reports, and scheduling. MWS is powerful and fairly in-depth, so feedback would be appreciated. Knowing how developers are using it (or want to use it) will only make the library better!
